In August 2024 I set up a project called Game Haven.  Game Haven is a FREE gaming community run on a Discord server specifically to help ex-cult members build community.  This project is separate to my counselling practice and is something I run in my spare time.

If you have been in a cult/high control group and are interested in gaming, this may be a helpful community for you to join.  Members can arrange gaming events or casually hang out with other gamers, and if you enjoy livestreaming or other forms of content creation, there is space to share your YouTube or Twitch channels.

Alongside channels to discuss gaming, there are channels to discuss other hobbies, your favourite TV shows and movies and any creative projects you have been working on.

There is also space to discuss your cult experience and share news stories and offload.  However, we try to keep these separate from the other channels as the goal of this server is community and fun.  Cult discussions are, of course helpful, but not the primary goal of this community.
